The Peace Corps Prep program at Mines accepts applications throughout the year. Here's how the process works:

Step 1

and look it over thoroughly. Perhaps attend one of our periodic information sessions. If you like what you see, proceed to Step 2. (And welcome to the start of your Peace Corps Prep adventure!)

Step 2

Visit with an advisor who will go over the Peace Corps Prep program application

with you. In this step, we'll strategize together about classes and activities that best fit your degree program and interests. The choices you make here will make you a more successful global engineer and a more competitive Peace Corps candidate after graduation.

Step 3

Enjoy your Peace Corps Prep experience with information sessions, workshops, and social events sponsored by the program. Peace Corps Prep is not just a set of tasks -- it's a community of like-minded individuals passionate about sustainable community development and working abroad. During this time, visit with your Peace Corps Prep advisor occasionally to make sure you are still on track. If your career goals change, adjust your Peace Corps Prep path to fit.

When you have met program requirements, visit your Peace Corps Prep advisor to complete your Exit Interview Checklist

. If all is well, we'll forward it to the Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C. for final approval. You can then expect a certificate direct from the Peace Corps and a notation about your Peace Corps Prep accomplishment on your official Mines transcript.
